(to go to hostel look for elevator no.1 of Lyton building, the elevator system/layout in building is quite confusing) been there during the building' s renovation. the hostel itself is bang for the buck, couldn't complain any. the location is so goodddddd so perfect. the rooms and facilities are completed. water's pressure and temp. is better than many 3 4 stars hotel. best in the area (upper bunk bed should have curtains)

We can not recommend this hostel at all! The rooms are extremely small and don’t have any heating (we had to sleep in clothes). The common area is a joke. You have hardly any kitchen facilities to make your own food. Also nearly no plates, bowls, cutlery, etc. There is no sink for dishwashing and no hot water to clean dishes. The hangout area is very small and empty. The whole building is a construction site, with a lot of dust a no nice atmosphere at all. The staff of the hostel is friendly.

Good hostel located in the centre of Kowloon. We got a private room, which was clean with plenty of space. A few things perhaps need updating/improving. For example, the table was virtually broken, there's a pipe running into the shower that spills out a lot of hot water randomly so it's easy to burn your feet, the communal bathroom doubles as a place to wash your dishes and there are not many mugs to drink hot drinks. As it's in quite a busy area it can be loud on a night, but this didn't bother us too much. Having said that, the place is clean, the communal social area is a great place to work and hang out, they offer free hot drinks, and the staff are friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Check in and check out process was hassle free (booked and paid through booking. com), and the staff are also very helpful for travellers. Location of the place is excellent, surrounded by restaurants, various public transit options, shopping centres of different tiers, and lots of culture as well. You've got K11 practically just in front of the building, Michelin-starred pastry and lots of Japanese izakaya-style establishments right downstairs, an MTR exit across the road, and Nathan Street right around the block. Getting to the hostel itself was a bit confusing as there was renovation at the ground floor at the time, but I figured it out eventually after trying two entrances and elevators. The hostel features a great common area with lots to do even on your own, basic food options you can buy, and free hot and cold water. For other needs convenience store is also located nearby, and there is a store on the ground floor of the building, too. Bathrooms were spacious enough for me, a bit dark inside though (shared only, no idea about this in the private rooms). Wifi was okay, fast enough for me. For the rooms, the bed was a-okay and the sheets, pillows, blanket were hotel quality. Aircon sometimes cuts out though so sometimes it would get too warm under the covers. I didn't bring a charging brick or adaptor since there's a couple USB sockets by the bed which were enough for my needs. Lots of motor noise around at night, but you can get earplugs and it's fine. Overall you get what you pay for, and I've been back twice because I really enjoyed the hostel vibe and facilities.

I highly recommend this place if you’re a solo traveler who’s fine with staying at hostels. Dormitory rooms are decent. They have a curtain for each bunk bed, so there’s a little bit of privacy when you’re sleeping. I stayed in an 8-bed dormitory, yet it wasn’t that cramped. The bed is comfy and the AC is cold, so I had a good sleep during the whole stay. The toilet was okay. There’s a hot and cold shower, and shampoo and body wash are provided. Do note that towels are not provided for free, so you have to rent them (I think it’s 10 HKD with a deposit of 100 HKD), or you could just bring your own. The only thing that I didn’t like is that they don’t have a bidet :( Coffee, milo, and Cadbury hot chocolate are free to consume. They also have a mini kitchen where you can cook or reheat your food. Kitchenwares are provided, just be sure to wash them after using. I'm not sure if there’s free drinking water because there wasn’t any when I was there. The place is also near the train station, so it’s very convenient. I personally think that the building where this hostel is located is way better than Chungking. The building is less crowded; I rarely see other tenants even in the elevator. The front desk is also nice. I’d stay here again when I go back to HK.

2nd time to stay at this hostel. Always a pleasant stay. Very convenient and near places to visit in TST and just across the mtr exit. They clean the room often and the staff are pleasant. They need to fix the shower curtains though since they seem short and can’t have privacy if you are sharing your room.

One of the best hostels I've ever been to. The building is old and undergoing renovations, but the hostel is great compared to the prices, cozy and beautiful. Hygiene is the best thing that I liked the most.

Very strategic location at tsimshatsui. It's 5th floor of lyton building. Don't be frightened by it's outlook. After reaching 5th floor with lift it's alright. Spacious common space with wireless speaker to hang out. Free tea and coffee. Has water dispenser. Both warm and cold.has microwave and cuttery. 6 beds per mixed dorm room. Has two main toilet rooms with 3 bathrooms n 3 toilets each. Provide slipper. Counter staff is friendly. The bed is stable. Windows are strong. Has place to hang Ur things. Has a table in the room to share. Pretty good price. Would recommend.
